The castle of Pazin is the biggest and most preserved fort in Istra. Inside the castle is the Istrian National Museum and Pazin town Museum.
Gracisce and Pican are situated at the top of two hills, these two small medieval towns offer a unique panoramic view of the valley, where the biggest Istrian mountain Ucka emerges.
A very interesting town in the nearby is the town of Motovun, together with the town of Groznjan, it is the most beautiful medieval little town in Istra. If you make a town tour along the medieval stone wall you will see beautiful valleys surrounded with picturesque hills make a landscape from fairy tales.
In eastern Istra is Porec, a town from the Roman era. You will see the remains of a Roman temple, and streets preserved even today at the right angle, and a tradition in wine and olive oil production. A monument which is most visited is the Euphrasiana Church from the 5th century, with rich and beautiful mosaics.
Rovinj (Rovigno) is a small town that will astound you with its straight medieval streets and Mediterranean warm air. Santa Eufemia is the main church, here you can admire astonishing reliques and constructions in baroque style. From the Church square, there’s a beautiful view at sea and numerous islands in the distance. A tour in town museum and all the galleries will enrich your cultural conscience.
